What are Charity StuffersTM?
Charity Stuffers
TM are small cards (3-1/2 inches by 2 inches) that you purchase at Plumpstocking.com in $5 increments. You choose the Charity Stuffer
TM from our custom catalog, and the card is included in your stocking stuffer assortment. Every penny of the $5 you spend goes directly to the charity you've selected.
Why Charity StuffersTM?
Charity Stuffers
TM provide a way for you to tuck some kindness into someone's Christmas stocking. Remind them what Christmas is all about by showing them you care about their favorite charities and organizations. Charity Stuffers
TM are particularly good for those hard-to-buy-for family members and friends, or for children (start modeling generosity and goodwill for them at an early age!).

Who pays for the Charity StuffersTM cards?
We do! We think it's important that Christmas be a season of giving, so we're encouraging our customers to donate a little bit of their stocking stuffers budget to charity. For our contribution (in addition to monies we already currently donate to charity), we pay to have the cards printed and make them available to you.
How can I be sure that my $5 reaches the charity I choose?
Once we hit a certain threshold of giving, we will begin to dynamically post the results donated to the 18 charities in our list on our website. Then, at the end of the season, we will report how much we donate to each charity. When possible, we plan to scan the confirmation letters that we receive from these organizations and post them to our website so that you can see additional acknowledgement that your charitable contribution did indeed go to support the charity of your choice.
When will you donate the money?
We will collect the donations over the course of the holiday season. We will then write a single check to each organization between Christmas and New Year's (before the end of the calendar year). Our goal is to reduce the amount of accounting and paperwork both for us and for the charitable organization by sending a single check.
Will you give the charity my contact information?
No, we will not pass along your contact information to your chosen charity. Most charities require a minimum donation to cover the costs involved with including you on their mailing list and acknowledging your gift. The small $5 increments that our Charity Stuffers
TM represent don't usually meet a minimum donation requirement. However, the beauty of Charity Stuffers
TM is that our combined kindnesses do add up, and the total amount will undoubtedly be helpful to a given organization!
Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes! Just print out your order summary from our website (you can access this from the
order status page), or print out your email order confirmation. Your charitable donation will be listed on your order confirmation as proof of your contribution. Every organization on our list of 18 charities is a 501(c)(3) non-profit except for Sierra Club, which is a C4 organization.
Which charities can I choose from?
This year, we are proud to have selected the following charities (mission statements are paraphrased):
How do you select the charities?
We strive to offer a representative list of nationwide charities that appeal to many different types of individuals. Many of our selections can be found on the Forbes 200 Largest US Charities list. Our list includes charities that benefit children, the environment, healthcare research, world hunger, emergency and humanitarian relief, animals, people with disabilities, public television, and literacy - among others!
My favorite charity is not on your list. How do I suggest a charity for inclusion in your list?
Use our
contact us form. We'll gladly consider your request. This year, we have limited our charity selection to 18 charities in order to pilot the program. If it's successful, we'll be excited to add many more!
