Make Play Dough

Consider popping some containers of play dough in your child's stocking. Talk about an easy, cheap, last-minute stocking stuffer idea!

  1. First, find a good container for your play dough. (If you've kept containers from old dried-out store-bought Play Dough, you're one step ahead of the game!). Consider take out containers, deli containers, cream cheese or margarine tubs.
  2. Next, assemble your ingredients. You'll need flour, salt, cream of tartar, vegetable oil, hot water, and food coloring.
  3. The following link describes a recipe for a nice big batch: http://www.amazingmoms.com/htm/artclayrecipes.htm
